Bacteria are the heart of any septic digestion system that is operating properly. This is particularly true of aerated secondary treatment systems. Without bacteria there would be no digestion of the organic solids and disposal areas would fail in days or months.

With our KiwiTreat aerated treatment system we have used BIOGEST to ensure that our systems start up correctly and we further recommend that owners of the KiwiTreat systems follow a monthly dosing of the system with BIOGEST. Where we have encountered ‘smelly’ systems either through incorrect pH, excessive use of bleaches or cleaners or through antibiotics passing into the septic system, we recommend either EcoLoo or BioGest applied daily to the septic system for upto 6 days to restore bacterial activity, whilst not forgetting to correct the fault caused the problem in the first case.

All in all BioGest and EcoLoo are excellent products that ensure that our KiwiTreat aerated septic systems continue to operate at their best operational levels in all conditions.

As a New Zealand wide manufacturer and seller of primary, secondary and advanced secondary septic treatment systems both in the commercial and domestic markets we are very aware of the critical importance of having the right bacteria at the appropriate levels active in our systems to ensure optimum operation. Without bacterial activity the quality of effluent being disposed to land would fall short of regulatory requirements.

For the last 10 years we have used Biogest to help ‘start’ difficult septic systems and used EcoLoo where is an odour problem in a system. We have found these bacterial remediation products very successful and work well to compliment our technology.

I have been using Biogest for over 12 years now in our septic tank and found it an excellent product, with no smells and no pump out for our septic tank.
